Today is Valentine’s Day. For more than a decade here… or other places, on or off here; Valentine’s Day is really depressing. I don’t like to be angry. I’m as angry as radical feminists and red-pill men that put all of us into a bind and into greater hopelessness of romance. I’ll singe out people like Liz Plank on the feminists and I’ll throw “Myron Gaines” the alleged gay soyboy host of Fresh & Fit, and maybe the tomboy, perhaps lesbo “Women Shouldn’t Vote” Pearl Davis. All these types of specimen are like a kamikaze, whose going to crash first and take everyone down to hell with them?

Video: Retaliation of Infatuations
This JCPenney advertisement from at least 9 years ago (I found this online in recent years) featured an innocent girl probably no older than a fifth grader. She secretly puts the initials of her name and her crushes on a piece of paper (yup this was the days way before the iPad and the MacBook was just on the market eclipsing the PowerBook) and even in old medium would someone be afraid to have the crush come back to crush them.
Throughout the then 60 second spot, the scribbles disappeared from the paper, and moved on to her desk, then onto the chalkboard and girl tried to cover up the doodle. The girl for the right reasons became paranoid throughout. The message moved from the locker room, to a bulletin board, to the cafeteria where she would then see the scribble once again near the boy of interest, and plop onto the cafeteria table and try to cover it up as the boy moved her hand and both would smile.
Yours truly could relate to this story up till about the 45 second mark. Crushes in the last few years I’ve kept under secret. I’m too afraid to tell anyone about any feelings of any girl that I’ve previously liked. It’s even too risky to put it on paper because I fear something like this would happen in real life. Children are often teased about infatuations, but when one is hitting 30 in a year, the rules are much different, and more against me.
So yeah, my lips are sealed.
The Lack of a Girlfriend
Most thirtysomethings have someone in their lives, whether it’s a girlfriend, a boyfriend, a girlfriend/girlfriend boyfriend/boyfriend or even a husband or wife. Well I am not anywhere close to boyfriend material for any girl (at least around my area.) For February, I don’t just feel like a hopeless autistic, but a hopeless romantic too.
The idea of a girlfriend would make socializing easier because you have that “arm candy” or someone to hold hands and commit public sexual harassment laws and kiss in public and touch each other near private parts at professional gatherings. Not that I encourage this, but this is what “everyone else” is doing. Why be the only single person? I don’t feel “special”…
Why I hate Vday, part six
Some of tonight’s TV programs had a Valentine’s Day theme, especially with The Big Bang Theory, and The Office. If you are a fan and you are in the Left Coast, or you live in another locale that runs these programs at other time blocks, I’ll won’t spoil the plots.
But I will say it had drama between encounters with an ex, and the bickering between one or the other couple, depending on what respected show it was.
In the real world, do people really get emotional about an ex? And does their hormones reactivate with the ex lover?
What do I know, I am the true virgin of this blog!
I forgot about this…
Can I have one of those “Hunk of Love Bear”?
I’m watching CNBC, a commercial ran from the Vermont Teddy Bear company and during this time of the year they run various Valentines Day spots (I think they also own Pajama Gram) and they are selling a $100 Hunk of Love bear. It’s a 4′ bear that is perfect for an autistic because it looks so cuddly. I admit I still snuggle with some of mymothersbears. Given I probably won’t fall in love, this could be a nice $100 investment.
Why I hate Vday, part three
Should people give Valentines Day cards or candy to family members?
Me thinks not.
You don’t have a romantic relationship with your family, then why should you give them affection since afterall Valentine’s Day is really for romance!
Why I hate Vday
I will be starting a series leading up to Valentine’s Day. I am not as bitter as I used to anymore of the Catholic created “card holiday” since Valentine was a Saint.
I digress.
Here is something about love that drives me nuts. All those proverbial thoughts about a fairy tale “story book” chapters. I sometimes get myself caught into my dreamy world. But in the real world, it is not good. Even Catfish sometimes sensationalizes stories to make them “storybook” like event.
I don’t like it. Its distracting. And its overrated. And its unrealistic.
