What to do if you live in a state of narcissism? Not moment of a level of it, but one of the fifty U.S. States? I suspect there is over a million people in New Hampshire that have minor or significant fingerprints of NPD. Despite what you hear from Free Staters, this state is not “free” for all. “Freedom” apparently these days lack responsibility and accountability… this wasn’t always the case back 30 something years ago in this state. We have a government, we have other institutions, and they are so authoritative, that it defeats the purpose of freedom or even conservatism. Often these people are unelected, or shouldn’t be. The Town Council where I live is so damn authoritative, they think they are Congress or something like that.
I don’t understand why parts of New Hampshire is stuck in the 1950s, but if you research what occurred before the 1960s, you have look back at the decade before. Conservatism was rampid all over the country. It wasn’t just manners, and “Mister Smith” and never question people in “power” even if they may not even be qualified to be in power. This extended in my state I suspect for all those years, even in the 1980s and even presently as if the state couldn’t handle changes socially and just structure of power. Old white men are expected to stick to pencil and paper to do their official business.
Obedience is compliance. If you had a father that taught you that, he shouldn’t been your father. He’s likely got NPD too. The pandemic taught many people that a slight inconvenience to routine was an injustice, like a violation to people’s rights, as if the world revolved around mostly white middle aged people. As if they never been through injustice before, because the 1950s culture was finally breaking. Ironically many people in The 603 really liked President Trump, who was far from the 1950s culture in many ways.
So how do you escape the state of Narcissism? First off where is another locality where empathy is the highest? Are the most empathic people in a locale with higher crime? How bad is the crime, and are the narcissists ones overplay it? Next on the chain of survival, do I surrender my services, in a state where you got to have “classic autism” or Asperger’s Syndrome, so is legacy PDD-NOS be as hopeless elsewhere than here? How much should I build up a portfolio of where I have been in these recent years since my HS graduation?
I have to somehow break these chains, and I do not like living in a state where I am repeatedly reminded how
