Jordan Peterson recently had a discussion on narcissism with Generation Z (also known as iGen), sometimes referred to the Millennial Generation as well. The episode interviews an expert on this generation and the narcissistic outcomes that social media brought…

I think for anyone to deny the fact that Jordi himself is a narcissist would be naive, anyone jacksoff of his work as like intellectual porn should stop. Jordi is a dangerous man who I think has high level of narcissism himself. He can cry to Piers Morgan or be humble at a Christian university in the Midwest, but this is classic Generation X material, as he is a couple years older than the start of said generation, and often joked upon on Twitter as the forgotten generation.

In this so called “podcast”, Peterson obsesses on the fact that kids have to grow up faster than the present pace, but again Gen X always liked to brag about being out till sunset, and they bragged about doing adult things… but where are they today? There is this focus on their predominate offsprings, Generation Z (born after 1995 to 2012) but the real question is, are Generation Z just clueless because the parents were not-there emotionally unavailable not-there?

In this so called podcast, there was a focus on social and mobile that this generation probably can’t tell a PC or a traditional Mac from everything else; but remember Generation X is not tech savvy, if they learned on an IBM 5150, it was already a hopeless cause.

There was this other obsession from Jordi on “demonic” statements left by anonymous social media users, that for most rational brains could sort that out.

Generation X as an Antidote to Poor-Man’s Narcissism

It’s believed that Baby Boomers were highly narc in various aspects; but I suspect that the Boomers (despite their severe flaws, are more tolerable than Xers). Why have I came to this conclusion? Gen Xers aren’t that smart. All they care is money and an economy because apparently the generation that grew up in a nationalized educational system (for better or for worse) really didn’t get them much, if the federal government had flaws in the years when they standardized education. Many never went to college, except for a few well known folks like Scott Galloway; none of my Xers in both families of mine ever went past 2 years.

Gen Xers tend to lean conservative, but after the election of Donald Trump as President in 2016, it was not just conservative, but Conservative in personal beliefs not on principal facts. Just like how Boomers were mocked in voting on their feelings, Xers just rebadged themselves as “fundamental beliefs” to be no different.

The Silent Generation, that is the folks born before 1945 had indirect exposure to the Great Depression, their world views is very small and limited. the only structure that should be stable is family. As if the families can do everything, including mating, and other sick stuff. Silents taught their Xer offsprings extreme levels of authority, extreme levels of micromanaging children and a heavy patriarchal or matriarchal structure as the ol man or ol woman, and we must not let them down because children that are even adult aged, cannot consent to go their own way. Classic examples is Donald Trump’s father, and how his brother Fred wanted to be a TWA air pilot, and was mocked by the elder Trump for not sticking to real estate, while Ivanka has been in her father’s presence  as she is approaching 40.

Is the Zoomers a bit lazy? Perhaps, I think many are trying to be successful but someone is not allowing them to grow… go and look at where the apple fell. Not far from the tree! While i do not have much inside knowledge, my suspicion as sick as the patriarchy and tough-parenting going too far, that kids went to smartphones, at the worse age possible and many of these narcs, or ones with borderline personality disorders are really the ones that are hurting.

This goes back to my decades of written work. I am a millennial aged guy who has a Xer family and a lot of my views stems from a really poor world view of parenting. I feel for Xers for not allowing to be as free as their parents were back in the 80s. What they are doing to the iGen is solely parents that shouldn’t had kids, and only wanted to expand a blood line because that’s the survivalist instinct! I’ve witnessed an entire family not having emotionally available parents, or have multiple half siblings and cousins, if the right does not like LGBTQ+ folks, then why the fuck are these people not calling out the generation that introduced the world to “body count” decades before it was a-thing!

Gen Xers have strong implicit (and later on explicit) sexism, racism, ableism, and homophobia and xenophobic tenacious, the oldest and closest down the line is the remaining Silents. All these stem from economic anxieties as the 1980s gave them jobs and made them money, but if Black and Brown people (and even people like me) want to be part of it, we are disallowed because we aren’t American-enough, the blond/blue-eyed beauty of an All-American image that some people felt that’s what America is supposed to be.

I am not saying Gen Xers are X-isst where X marks all the previous said prejudices; they just felt they grew up in a post Civl Rights world, where the theory not the practice could be applied. They may deny they are racist or sexist, but they sure as hell do. I guess Jordi hasn’t seen the “Karen” videos on social media with their demonic actions! Where’s his outrage from being one of their own?

I feel really bad for Zoomers, and as they came out and voted last week, its a referendum on ending Regan/Trump era, Simple-man-Republican views with hopes to a more modest to modern future where civil rights can continue to be protected. But what the Boomers threw out, Xers burned, and as a result some Millennials and Zomers are screwed for smelling the rubber burning because the Xers think they have a right to burn, but they don’t understand the responsibility of a bonfire that’s really a wildfire because they are so arrogant to realize how many wrongs they are doing.

I don’t blame Gen Z for having a space-space in college, if they are going to get the treatment Jordi does to his own students. Kids (even so called “young adults”) are not fit to be army sergeants. We are humans, we deserve to be treated more than objects, a line item, a “family member”, the shit Silents and Xers have done will cause long term damage to Zoomers’ psyche.

Gen X are the real narcs!
