A photo showing the book Fashion Design Workshop by Stephanie Corfee
I tried to take this picture without showing my cluttered digital studio workspace, but this book is really awesome.
I found this at my local AC Moore store the other day for less than $10 bucks. The book is called Fashion Design Workshop by Stephanie Corfee. The book shows how to draw different fashion styles predominately for girls and women.  For an equal opportunity, there was at least a page or so how to draw a guy.
The book is nice, and perfect for drawing that Ideal Girl features I do. There are about 125 pages of ideas, though one thing really got my attention. Every girl featured in the examples had one eye. Some like in the cover had hair covered and some (again one smaller one on the cover) clearly had an eye taken out. Not sure of this is the standard style that Corfee does, but it makes it look pretty peculiar if that.
In anyways, this book was fun to look at and it gives great examples on how to draw your ideal girl or your ideal fashion design.   I’d give this book 4 out of 5 stars.
