Teresa Bolick’s Dishonest Autism Agenda

Over the last few months, I’ve brought up a reoccurring character named “Doctor” in name only Teresa Bolick, of Westford, Massachusetts and why she is causing the autism crisis in my state. She is a very odd individual that spends a lot of time in both the very racist and ablest state in Massachusetts and the state of New Hampshire, which over the last several years has started to follow Massachusetts’ lead of their ablest agenda (and yes it’s more than just the JRC as many advocates are in a hissy about.)

Bolick for whatever reason – argumentatively could be illegal is on the New Hampshire Council on Autism Spectrum Disorders, despite her residency of her Middlesex County town. It claims she represents the NH Psychologists Association.

From working with her for mostly 18 years in my schoolage part of my life, I don’t find her to be really an honest woman; but anything but a fraud.

There are many problems: a) every autistic individual is unique but b) you must use the same treatment for all and c) the practices in treatment, advice or counseling never changes in various stages in life. If the individual had grown, all you’d hear would be how much I grew over decades over say “relevant” timeframes for younger adults. If you had grown so much, then why do you keep going back to my years in early education/intervention as proof?

Bolick’s advice in counseling especially preaching on “real world” cases are far from reality. When a child hits 22 in her home state; most adults are just as unforgiving as they were in middle or high school and yet these “real world” advice is not even practiced by the so called “normal” people so is Bolick singling people out?

The pathetic answer would be: yes.

Everyone that I know admires this woman, but yet even if you respected someone professionally, would you go and drink her Kool Aid? I’ve never seen or hear someone who disagreed, was offended or would agree most of the time. Everyone respects her 100% of the time.

But, what if I said she was the one who cut my penis off because being a guy is politically incorrect?  What if I said her snobbish views towards people not in her social class caused my insecurities? (Still waiting for confirmation – if only there was an adult doctor that knows autism – better than this fraud!) What if I said she was both a sexist and ageist who focused on mostly children and targeting boys?

To quote New York’s Warner Wolf, “Let’s go to the video tape!!!” and use my pointy finger to cue the clip from a Pisca video because this fraud always claims to be technically inept because she’s a card carrying woman, because girls aren’t supposed to be in tech.

As mentioned above her fetish for the last I’d say 7 years was this “Social Capital” crap. For Christ sake’s alive its the uppity equivalent to “brownie points” since that must be politically incorrect to say these days. She claims this is the “glue” to the community. As described, it’s basically valuing people who contribute to society.Allegedly

If you thought you were conflicted in just a 10 minute video – then times that by thousands over 2 decades. She says accommodations are  necessary; but then says “we may inadvertently communicate something. We may be inadvertently communicate ‘it’s all about you and the world can revolve around you'”. Oh wait, wasn’t that was how parents of the rich kids in Londonderry taught them? How come when you have a disorder it’s not OK but if you are normal it’s all cool to break social conventions and be so goddamned narcissistic. What’s with this stupid hipacracy?

Since this was posted in 2010, this reminds me of the local natural gas company that jacked up rates “inadvertently” around that time. (I remember saying to my mother, when she had to call I think it was National grid at the time –  to say something like “well you inadvertently raised my rates”.) I find this “inadvertent” a perfect excuse for an error a PhD or a Masters that should’ve known better. (I love the cliche “unintended consequences” myself;  because she herself is an unintended consequence.)  Bolick clearly knows what the hell she’s doing and this is not cool in my standards.

If only society in “Affullenza” ridden towns would be so tolerant. And this lies the  problem. Later in this video she explains the harsh realities in the form of actions. The problem is you take her framework and you go nowhere. I explain:

  • She claims people “do judge you on first impression[s]” Her first advice is to give a “good first impression.” (And where did that make me go? “You’re so bright”, and you’re too good to fail!)
  • I take care of my body 95% of the time, as she points out the second thing –  but that’s the least of my worries
  • “Take good care of our minds” She touts “it’s very stressful to have autism. It can make us…”  yet another example of not our autism causing the problems – its HER! If the last 10 minutes wasn’t an example I don’t know what is.
  • Then because she came from the Southeast, there’s that very old school practice of “good manners”. Let me tell you about manners. Of the many please and thank yous, and smiles and other kind gestures, it really hasn’t gotten me places. But all the “normal” cool kids from the ‘burbs who now live in urban centers, seem to be much more successful by being rude (oh sorry, they claim they are “professional”) and crude and downright obscene. I tell you money and power really takes you places, and believe it or not Bolick kinda implies this through this exercise and her training on this specific subject.
  • Before the video gets cutoff she said “its important to ask questions and to listen to what they say” (she also has preached the “women find it sexy when a man listens.” NOT making this up! Apparently men can’t get b—–rs anymore when a woman can’t shut up, because I find it sexy myself when a chica listens.)

I shake my head in frustration of why the hell does the Granite State accept such shallow hacks who are actually trying to make guys weak, and bad women stronger. Why are you doing this? Why are you trying to make normal people’s bad behavior normal, but if an autistic does it – its scandalous? Why is “The Bolick House” just limited to the autistic population? A lot of people with Asperger’s comes from gifted parents who don’t know how to parent, has Bolick ever called these people out? Since when does the individual always have to take the blame for everything?

Bolick doesn’t “contribute to the community” as she touts, and as one person, she can’t be forgiven with this propaganda she has propagated over the last 7/8 or even 10 years. She’s a threat to your child – your sibling, your cousin, your friend. She does not give people a voice of reason on ASD. She does this in a tongue and cheek way in a manipulative voice (notice how many words she says in a minute?)

She’s really a threat to autism and the Granite State as a whole. I hope you are taking notice and maybe get some action to take this fraud on Broad Street out of our state once and for all and for eternity!
