Where I Grew Up (and Regressed!)

2017 Update: I don’t hold a grudge like I used to, but I do feel that the development was hindered by various types of people.

At the same time, in early 2016 and verbalized in 2017, that I had higher social growth in elementary school in district. The moment I went into the Middle School, all hell broke loose. By this point I was out of districted and lost all social circles. In fact I even recalled the second year of fifth grade from about January to June, I felt I had the most growth in my life. At 12 years old that’s almost equivalent to 2 years. But I was in the fear where I couldn’t tell anyone to validate this because the consultant-slash-thearpist would say shit like “they were friends to you but not to them”.

So I remained silent till earlier this year. Some of the more affluent types caused the worst damage. Will I ever be friends to ANY of them again? I think the reader knows that answer.

Unlike other millennials or peers of my age, I basically lived in a single neighborhood for my entire life till I was twenty-three.  I was born in Derry, raised in Londonderry (the small dot to the right). The first dwelling was my grandparent’s house. I moved for the first time when I was about five, then back for a few months after I turned six, the moved again to another part of town (in the same elementary school region) for another three years till my grandmother got divorced and we moved back. From 1996 to near the end of 2010, I lived in the same dwelling. By that point of most typical twenty-three year olds, they probably have moved about a dozen times if you count their college dorm as a form of living setup.

I was raised to believe that Londonderry was this small town, a typical working class community that once was the bedrock of this region. Well, even the Town themselves considered Londonderry as a “rural lifestyle” but many of the people would fake it. I wouldn’t even bet people know what “RFD” referred to, and we even had an RFD stop number, which I won’t publish on this site. The most lower class citizens were driven out over the last couple of decades. Some of my classmates (of the similar social strata) don’t even live in town, at least more than many years ago based on Facebook conversations.*

* 2017 Update: I did reach out to them since in a desperate attempt to socially connect when I had a facebook profile for personal uses over the last year.

Specific to this site, if it weren’t for my Londonderry residence, I might not be able to have the ability to write this 1,600 word narrative. Some other days I wished I never went to LEEP and would’ve been better off being a non verbal autistic and would’ve had the system spoil me because afterall the system is a paradise for non verbals. And I don’t want to dismiss any non verbals ether, because afterall I was once one (for a few years…)

However the dirty little secret to “Ltown” is that it’s really an upper middle class town despite the constant “rural lifestyle” talking point. Such families were poor enough to buy necessities, but rich enough to buy materialistic items.

I grew up in the time where I was out of districted, most of the local millenials would actually not be exposed to this group – my group, just like how their Baby Boomer parents were not exposed to the generation that were at the Laconia State School, for an example. While the Londonderry School District had new management by the turn of the Century, the pervasive problem was to address the out of district students. To be direct, they failed miserably. Around the Class of 2005, (or SY 04-05) about 64 students were at out of district facilities.

I’ve admitted previously of flip flopping staying out or returning and to then decide to remain out of district would be the right one. I started to come to my senses of how “young punks” would perceive me, and sadly it had negative connotations. There really isn’t a valid defense to the district, because they spent so much time trying to build in house programs, and they now use it as selling points today.

Management never thought like a uniformed worker, I would start to bleed to death, and they refused aid. The only critical or core “services” they provided was my third mother, psychologist since three, Teresa Bolick, from Westford, Mass. who had an office in Nashua. Her personal snobbish attitudes were mirrored to Londonderry because both towns are no different, no less. If you wonder why I write negative narratives, this specific experiences would cause a scar for life.

2017 Update; Bolick passed away, which immediately began a slow healing process.

As this narrative evolves to how I would become a hopeless autistic was between the inept management at the time, and the inept psychologist and the very political IEP team. The best interest at the time was not my mother or me, but a collective agenda by the professional class. “Safeguards for your child’s education” paper that came with the signed IEP, forget it, what a flipping joke! The DRCNH would’ve denied me even in those days!

I started to feel being bullied outside the typical norms – the textbook definition. I was taught by many professionals since being a teenager to respect other social stratas and be a good example – and be a leader basically. Well being a “nice guy” wasted my entire twenties. Again I sure hope the devil has given Ms. Bolick the hell she gave to me landing back to her. About a decade ago, I would start to see how I should not respect people in other social strata. Many of those peers were promiscuous, will leave it at that.

As explained above, the district had an apparent liberal agenda. Great! But what about the people outside the SAU property line? The town has a very conservative constituents, only a few very liberal. Both cancel out each other so nearly 98% of 24,000 residents (at the time in 2000, where this narrative takes place) would have low tolerance to autistics and/or developmentally disabled people. Some of the most extreme, tight to the right politicians in this fine state – live in Londonderry.

Narcissism is very common in that community, people who use other people to bolster their “social capital” (see how Bolick’s agenda can work against autistics? Link is dead like the lady in the video.) I was used on Facebook by a number of ex-“friends”. They knew who I was, but they only wanted me to boost their friend count. Hey, there is a thing called Linked In, if you want to advance your social count without referring them as “Friends”, you know?

As mentioned, many I knew possessed a “too cool” attitude for the 603 area code. A vast majority of people I went to school with in elementary school, don’t live in the state anymore, or have zero intentions to come back (according to Facebook activity circa a few years ago) at least closer to their “hometown” they use to advance themselves. Meanwhile these young punk 30 year olds will never pay back their early education, as the school district is inching towards a $70 million dollar budget and the town government has historically been skimpy and when I moved had depreciated town services, thanks to voting for the interests of the children…which I thought was illegal in election laws…

The trauma of living in Caucasian privilege, Upper Crust of New Hampshire was what formed me into massive insecurities such as “I’m not good enough” or “I shouldn’t be friends with someone who has so much education” or because I didn’t have enough socialization, that I shouldn’t be around people who have better socialization. Oh wait, where are all the twenty/thirtysomethings to socialize with who aren’t married?  Right, they abandoned the town while the lower class and hopeless autistic like I was; just limped over to the larger dot on the left of the map a few years ago.

Living in Ltown created it’s own real-world of FOMO between the on screen view and out of window, plain sight view.

I’ve made mistakes in my life. One of the regrets, was remembering where I came from, avoiding materialism, having pride and patriotism of my town I once grew up and kept my humble self. Maybe that’s why I started to toss out old pictures or threw some year books into long term storage and going to burn the most painful documentations of my early years of life. And just like any other “Ltowner” just fake the idea I had a life prior to twenty-three.

The Most Effective Human Rights Movement that Never Happened

The alleged rise of autism and the rise of interconnected devices such as personal computers and TCP/IP connectivity (also known as the “Internet”) as well as applications such as the World Wide Web, social media applications like Facebook, Twitter, etc. could had one of the most progressive social movements in history.

But what happened instead? Autism or developmental disorders (as we call it here in my state)  was “no different no less” than the “racial arsonists” of the 1960s, 1990s or even sometimes bordering on the Internet equivalent of the “Weather Underground” (and no I’m not talking about what was once a geeky weather related site that just got sold out to Big Blue.) They’ll blow people up that don’t agree to their narrative and like the Weather Underground they probably would say “that was just ‘property damage'”.

It’s one thing to “make noise”, but attacking others that don’t agree with you defeats your purpose of advocacy.

Why is advocacy supposed to be a Boston styled, one way street? I thought progress made streets wide like California where you can have two way traffic, relationships and question people. So if they are all about progress, then why are they stuck in the past with an old metaphor? Wasn’t the Internet supposed to integrate different “internets” so they all could talk the same way – and unite what was once iron-clad mini fridge mainframes, later to plastic clad PCs and glass clad iPhones?

I’m for justice, or “social justice” but not entirely. I’m an effective communicator, and one of the worst things to publicly say is to use vague language, buzzwords that 90% of America can’t understand and push your politics against other adults who have their own opinions.

And people think I still have social skills problems. – Look at these silly “Aspies”!

Don’t use “we”, because you may not be speaking for everyone!

Try saying that to a family that has an autistic that runs away, bites themselves and has constant meltdowns. Have any of these Aspergers types know any lower functioning autistic? Oh wait I’m an ableist!

I agree with the top part, but the last sentence is like X-Men where the Mutants say “don’t be afraid” and show off their “talents” in an arrogant attitude without fear. Card-carrying autistics rarely go places. Let me tell you, if I did what these people did, I’d have an even larger criminal record! Put this into perspective, if I was a full time advocate, the DRC dude – the UNH party boy there, would’ve hated me even more.

In short, if you want to be well liked, keep your autism showoffs to yourself!

Want to know why I’ve been complemented for great writing? It’s because I use boldface to enhance a message. Using improper capitalization automatically deducts points especially if you have strong English skills. “Autistic Voices” should not be capitalized. Boldface would work just fine in all lower caps.

What I fear is the autism advocates are as passive aggressive as Bob Wright’s Autism Speaks is passive agressive against autistics. I hate to speak bluntly, but the problem is say this disorder was a cancer, they believe cancer would be a gift that should not be cured. Why? Because these autism advocates do not attack Autism Speaks in the same way as your’s truly pointed out on a number of times to the point I still call it an “exclusive.” They don’t understand the power of the Wrights as they want you to believe that these are just normal country club couples creating a feel-me-good organization, when in fact the man had significant power to the mainstream media/MSM for decades. But since they listen to NPR or watch AJA – they never watched NBC, CNBC or any of the other NBCU properties or even have a clue what WPIX is (referring to that documentary.) By curing cancer, you have to get to the root of the disease as much as possible, by attacking Autism Speaks without getting to the root cause by going the “general” or “generic” route, you’re not going to get much places in an outcome where people will understand. Therefore adults who are “normal” or parents will not believe you. Positivity doesn’t get you places in “the system”, to use the cliche “if it bleeds it leads.”

As I am a Lego (and Lego Movie) Fanboy, I can’t help to quote the “EVERYT-HING IS AW-E-SOOOMM-EEE” approach to autism advocacy is in fact hurting their cause. In some cases, they may hate Steve Jobs (as many HFAs are Google/Linux fanboys), but they are doing his same practice of using reality distortion field – believing the whole world is rosey to “acceptance” – despite the realities of continued hatred by the professional class, heads of state agencies, school district management, and ineffective training. You’ll never hear the direct attack on the subject or specific individuals at all.

They are just like every other liberal group of throwing some vague wording without solid facts.

Since becoming an adult, I’ve been demonized, and sadly I am a victim of an oppressive special needs system. Being happy, and “gay” (since afterall they push an autism rainbow and eliminate the puzzle) won’t bring you places. It’s like you won a battle you didn’t deserve to win.

This is why I am unaffiliated to the groups. And I’m autistic thank you very much.

My Views

This was originally posted on December 22nd 2015 as a page on The Hopeless Autistic at 9:40 pm ET. This text may not be reflective of the views presently

I feel in the name of transparency, I like to disclose my views so limit attacks against me.

POLITICS:

I’ve leaned to the right, but not to the right of the Grumpy Old Party. I do not like how the “moonbats” raped the Democrat party. I’ve voted Republican in all Primary and General Elections due to the Moonbats trying to destroy the US as a whole. If there were saner Democrats, I’d vote for them. I’ve voted for Maggie Hassan not because she’s a Democrat, but understands my constituency as she herself has a child with developmental disorders

In New Hampshire, the GOP is a very tight to the right “conservative” wing of the party. This type of conservatism I’ve never supported. I do believe that a capitalistic society helps all, in a socialized world, domestic anger goes on the rise. Do I think parts of America has racism? Yes. Does part of America have ableism? Yes. Is that the entire country’s problems? No.

AUTISM POLITICS

I was non verbal till I was about 4. Not to long after I acquired a strong vocabulary. I wasn’t the brightest bulb on the Christmas Tree. I was pretty slower than my peers in my early childhood to teenage years. I’m probably much behind from my peers. I’ve had rocky relationships ranging from infatuations to professionals. I’ve “followed the rules to ‘the social road'” but yet it made me go further backwards. I often cliques with lower functioning autistics when I was younger. I never came across other PDDNOS types on my level till I was about 13. I never was comfortable about discussing my autism since the MSM didn’t even cover this subject even into the new Century. I carry a card only for safety and security purposes. Autism doesn’t define me 24x7x365, but 8×5 somedays 12×7 (on busy weeks.)

I felt I related to not only adults, but parents, mature grown ups, people who had a lot of experience. NT to me refers to Microsoft’s enterprise operating systems offerings (or crappy PBX systems from North of the Border – ahem Nortel, ahem Northern Telecom) not a condition of being “normal.” I avoid using Three Letter Abbreviations or TLAs unless its known to a majority of people. Code words tend to lead to shenanigans.  I don’t use contradicting words such as #actuallyautistic because that would appear to be negative like I’m a recovering victim of identity theft.

People have often gave me positive feedback for being a good writer. Some parents even told me in emails that I could give them insight to their nonverbal child. At the same time I’ve been accused for writing long winded posts that offend them because I have diminished their child’s “severe autism”.

I’ve learned the hard way I cannot speak to any individual, if they can’t speak for themselves, it’s very hard to know what’s in one’s mind if you aren’t in there ether. Pardon if that comes off as “ableist.”

Above is my summary of my views, the details of above is outlined below.

– – –

AUTISM SPEAKS:

I never have supported Autism Speaks since about 2007, once I realized there was skeletons in the closet. A year prior a former Boston broadcast journalist (well known at the once well-watched PIX 11 in Manhattan in recent years) produced a film called Autism Every Day. This short film not using the disciplines of ENG-type journalism (taping on Betacam, “assemble edits”, and fitting it for time constraints.) The laid-back film discipline enabled them to allow disturbing things to be let out, such as a whiney Manhattanite contemplating – on the record – driving off the George Washington Bridge with her autistic daughter in the car, trying to commit double-murder suicide the biggest thoroughfare in the East Coast. While stating something you can’t do easily on that said throughfare, the autistic daughter runs in the camera frame. If this was a 180 second package, this clip would’ve been cut out, the mother would’ve been reported to authorities and then some.

Another film production that was intended for a PSA was entitled I am Autism. This non tape based production allowed yet another overkill of time comparing ASD to AIDS or some other childhood disease less common. To be fair, I wasn’t offended, if they had cut only 90 seconds out. There are ways to sell bloody hearts, but Autism Speaks just didn’t know good tape editing to make it compelling, but not insult the self-advocates, or the autistics themselves.

Autism Speaks has been supported by at least 3 out of the 4 Big TV networks, Disney’s ABC, ESPN and their 10 owned-and-operated stations have appeared to be distant, while the other three, NBC, CBS and Fox have given this organization free ad time in lieu of PSAs. Worse is the conflict of interest between the founder of Autism Speaks and NBC Universal, Bob Wright. Wright, the former chairman of NBCU has had a very warm and cozy relationship with his former employer and NBCU owned properties has conveniently carried out their propaganda. Autism Speaks’ PSAs – ahem – ad insertions have circulated on the Comcast cable systems that in turn owns NBCU. Many news talent from CNBC will wear blue puzzle pieces in April, since Wright afterall has strong ties to CNBC, where he was the founder of that business network and many talent since the 1989 launch  -that knew Wright the longest has an emotional connection.

His wife, Suzanne, who was an angry woman against autism, lead a crusade, comparing autism to a disease, even making the war on Autism on the same status as the war in Iraq. If anything, she gave a voice to the severely autistics improperly, unfairly and even unethically.  Her anger was the motivation toward’s AS’ constant funding for “research” annually while Autism Speaks made profits year over year. She died of a very tragic disease, pancreatic cancer. Bob Wright’s direction moved from any anti autism advocacy to anti pancreatic cancer. In my opinion, any cancer is a bitch. Autism is not, and autism is not cancer. Comparing it the way the two have is disgusting.

This is a more complex (i.e. more relatable) to people who many not be familiar to the Autism Speaks’ propaganda. HFAs and self-advocates will generalize most of AS’ to the point of being dumbed down. No reference to Watkins or even Wright has been exposed to the same level your humble writer. Jim Watkins and his wife worked in major markets before settling in New York. If you saw his face on TV stations in Boston, Memphis, Philladelphia (and some other markets I might be forgetting) that same man was behind Autism Every Day as a producer.

Autism Speaks Relevant to New Hampshire

Many individuals or organizations are tied to this barbaric organization in the Granite State, my former school in Brentwood was once listed in the Autism Speaks directory as a resource. Seacoast Learning Collaborative was known for aggressive  “restraint and seclusion” even myself was bothered by during and after attending. The New Hampshire Council on Autism Spectrum Disorders even has endorsed Autism Speaks last April encouraging people to dress in blue. The individual who I spoke to who is affiliated said to me directly, it was “easier” for people to understand.

Because I am no longer school age, I have no idea how the special education system is, but I can tell you as a hopeless autistic adult, there is hardly any services – or worse “direct support professionals” as the state has a shortage. Nationwide is similar. If any organization is potentially scaring away such DSPs, then maybe Autism Speaks can be blamed.

People also don’t realize that only 4% goes to families or individuals and/or both despite massive cuts to the Medicaid, the Medicaid Waivers and the conversion to “Managed Care” for both Medicaid systems in New Hampshire. So Republicans think “well let charity take care of bloody hearts” – well Autism Speaks won’t be there.

And anyone who I know is associated, donated, or even supported, I’ve cut my ties. This is the only way to move on without forcing others without being abusive to change their views.

NATIONAL AUTISM ASSOCIATION

The NAA is Autism Speaks’ other half when it comes to propaganda. NAA originally believed vaccines caused the autism boom in the late 1990s – they have since reverted. NAA also has claimed nearly 49% of autistics run away, but there is no hard facts. The organization also sells “Red Boxes” to give to families as a resource when a kid runs away, etc. Relevant to the 603 area code? Some organizations and people have endorsed this organization as well.

AUTISTIC SELF ADVOCACY NETWORK

You think autistics who are high functioning can speak for themselves? Well ASAN doesn’t hide their leftist agenda (mixing in other minority causes) that well. Sadly politics has distorted the autism message. They continuously attack their competition instead of showing off what progress they have done for all except for employment, which is on their top priority.

I don’t question their autism, I do question and perceive that many don’t keep their “feet on your ground while reaching for the stars.” (I bet 98 to 99% of these moonbats/or Portlandia types have any clue who Casey Kasem was.) They are very upity, often using buzzwords, jargon, and other politically correct words and often for a non intellectual that didn’t grow up in say university towns like Boston, D.C., etc. As much as I try to “coexist” with my mother as an adult autistic whose also his own guardian, but the ASAN gives the finger to the parents, and assume that all autistics can speak for themselves – unlike Autism Speaks who doesn’t speak for any autistics or allow autistics to speak for them at all.  If there was a theme song of “EVERYTHING IS AWE-SOMMM-EEE” then this would fit the ASAN’s narrative. They assume all of America has been familiar to autism, that we need to move to acceptance instead. Some people to this day are not aware.

So how can you have acceptance if you don’t have awareness?

Also they hate the puzzle piece.  Their response: “I’m a human not a puzzle piece” Did they ever look up the history of the puzzle ribbon? I agree with Autism Speaks’ logo as some perceive it as a single gender, demographic, ability (look at the color and single piece.) Well sadly, it appears that politics trumps reality. Is autism a tragic burden? Some families may think or act so. Is that right? No, but you cannot change an adult’s mind. That’s the fact.

Most “self advocates” are Social Justice Warriors or SJWs, possibly because their differences made them hard to fit into the mainstream SJWs. This or “special snowflakes” came to the lexicon after the 2016 Presidential Election.

They also pray to our Presidant Barack Obama who within days after getting elected made a very off color remark to all of the developmental disability community on Jay Leno’s show but apparently if you have a (D) to your name, you get forgiven. If say a RINO like Bush said that…you know the answer.

If there is a lord, thank them for not infiltrating my state.

ASAN Relevant to New Hampshire

At least two or more members or senior staff had some residency in the 603 area code. The irony is they are no different than any other millennial SJW who have left NH and never planning on returning. Perhaps its the GOP culture that made them run away, but I think they are wimps for not trying to fight with them for their cause. They’d rather be around other autistics who hate normal people and hate conservatives and be angry on social media.

AGE OF AUTISM

This long time “daily newspaper of the Autism epidemic” is a classic example of the Internet cults that causes people to believe in lies and bash everything that is in the mainstream, media, medicine, governance, etc. They are anti-vaccinaton types, have while they have whined about their causes being denied, they often deny people on the autism spectrum to challenge their views. If you are for a cure, you can speak; if you believe in any diversity, or celebrate the idea of accepting the condition, then you’re denied from posting

At the same time, this unhealthy level of packets infiltrating your computer has also lead to the idea that autism is a clearly a medical condition, that high functioning autism is not autism, and vaccine induced “injuries” causes autism. These people have apparently graduated from the University of “Google”. Because these “angry mumma bloggers” are the motherly types who are desperate for answers, they are cheating on their spouses on their WiFi enabled laptops or tablets that emit radioactive waves that messed up their very same child whose got an autistic condition. I find the comments on A.O.A. to be highly amusing because someone who isn’t a telecom professional per se can tell you that Bluetooth does not transmit high levels of electricity in long distances like cellular telecommunications.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BXTRhR8AMZV/?taken-by=hopelessautistic

They also obsess about the hatred to ASAN and the leaders. While this site has had an aggressive stance against their movement, I have not spent every post like how the angry mob does on a daily basis on their comments page. You can choose to follow these neuro diverse a-holes or not, just like how those people can choose to ignore Autism Speaks and kick their ass instead of bashing them every day.

The autism narrative has been divided into tribes, one is pro autism, one is anti autism; the other is anti autism with a medical bias mixed with junk science. Nether three of these tribes (that is the “echo chambers”) is not going to help any autistic to propel forward because of the extreme devicive nature these tribes congregate and segregate.

I will say that some of the anger and hate from the original carnation of this site was possibly exposure to the angry-mom sites like NAA and AOA.

Love & Marriage (The Lack Thereof)

I don’t want to sidetrack the discussion on being a “hopeless autistic”, but a reoccurring subject (that I previously wrote on unnamed blog a couple years ago) was on love relevant to the autism spectrum disorder. In 2015, hopeless romantics who also are autistics are very high because

  • Lack of education on the issue. Many youngsters were ether unexposed to ASD, therefore they have no clue. They were ether misguided, misinformed or was told to run the other direction if “a big and fat weirdo” came and approached you.
  • If you don’t believe that stereotype exists, well thank some “experts” in the Granite State that have actually used video and narratives featuring the big and fat weird guy stereotypes
  • Professionals would rather work with them then have a fling at night with one. Even if you met them as a stranger on say a dating service. They have no interest.
  • “Being around people your own age” can only work if there are people begin with! (Notice the reoccurring tone about Millenials and how they are so urban wannabees and how I’ve mentioned they explicitly hate New Hampshire in the past on social media? The hatred didn’t help matters growing up in the largest affulenza ridden communities.)
  • We now go into the moral obligation of marriage. It would be the morally or ethically right thing to marry someone. Then we go into a financial problem. When you become married, it’s no different or less than a merger and acquisition. If you want to use the simple last name metaphor, basically the man buys out the woman. The problem is when one is on Social Security, that the assets are tied as one as well. Which would really suck if your other spouse is all perfectly normal. The legality is your spouse would have to cut their hours or to be direct – be disabled themselves. (Sadly Social Security is a requirement to all those startup, short term work programs – more on that next year, that )
  • Millenials not tolerant to individuals on ASD, it bears repeating

I hope this explains the reason if you see or hear some hopeless autistic also coming off as a hopeless romantic that this may be the reason why.

The real “Oppression” (That Gets Lost in the ASD Narrative)

I was called out by some anon (who isn’t even from the States – so he doesn’t have First Amendment rights like moi) on a Twitter account and a post on this site recently for not “getting the grasp” of oppressive institutional blahblahblah. The last thing I want to do is label this person, but I will have to paint him as some leftist who wants to silence me because I have a differing, hyperlocal view. Not only that, they are so angry when they don’t agree with you (or you disagree with them) it results in ad-honynmn attacks and often it’s with very three consecutive buzzwords that are so vague, it makes IBM’s pre 1993 Orwellian culture be like child’s play for politics in 2016.

If you disagree with me, do it on merit, on the content, and not on the messenger, and DO NOT use University-type language. I hate to use this phrase… but when you attack me with anger and big words, I think legally you are inciting criminal acts of fear.  Which if you look that phrases up in a thesaurus – you’ll find that unnamed word, because you know the Feds are spying on my activity, and of course, I try to not be a criminal online (unlike the unruly Aspies.)

– – –

I went to high school in Massachusetts despite living in New Hampshire. I had less rights than living in New Hampshire (despite what local advocates tell me, I had the minimal rights as a state citizen – even in the neighboring state, but good luck trying to tell it to the Hackerama down there.)

The reason why I have little respect to the higher functioning autistics who think there should be one view, and a single view and if you challenge them, you’re “ableist” is so, so much like an oppressive institutional system.

Here’s the real oppression (again a New Hampshire expat to the Massachusetts’ Hackerama):

  • Picking Winners over Loosers. Massachusetts ableist agenda is to judge people specifically on their disability, and the ones with the most severe and the very hot (most normal) types of people will have the best education. So if you have Cerebral Palsy, to Asperger’s – hell even emotional handicaps or bipolar, you’re gonna get taken care of. You got PDDNOS, an Autistic Disorder, you bolt out of a classroom, you got behavior issues, then go to the back of the line and keep moving backwards to allow a semi “normal” person to cut in the line.
  • Teachers not Teaching: Massachusetts requires said people to have Master’s degree, but guess what? They were the ones who had to file IEPs, and other compliance paperwork that I may not even know due to the super “confidential” nature of how the backoffice worked! Often the “instructional assistants” were often talked down because they were more on the rank-and-file status, but yet this same group was doing most of the teaching. So my hack high school teacher was probably able to “plan” the classes and let the rank and files do what she told them to do. But this is what happens when schools hire millenials who are so damn lazy because science wasn’t their strongest nature and because we were in homeroom settings, “let me pick and choose what I want to teach” was the mantra.
  • Government not knowing what the hell they’re doing (aka Unintended Consequences)  A lot of people hate the Massachusetts Department of Education. This agency got out of control when I would enter GLEC. Micromanaging was a standard operating procedure at the agency in Malden (I believe.) The school was not to far away from New Hampshire but if they could control the Granite State, they would. In fact they could, because my IEP wasn’t from Ltown, it was from the Commonwealth. Everyone outside the Masters degree status (including classmates) could not stand the DOE. What was worse was the 2003-04 school year when changed the food requirements to meet their “healthy” agenda. (In Plain English – meaning food that was like crap.) Has anyone at the Mass DOE ever taught or if they “taught” it was similar to Lawrence Boulger who used it for exploitation and professional narcissism? There was so much micromanaging it was getting to the point where GLEC couldn’t even take care of themselves despite hacks running the show. (Micromanagement is not the same as “microagression”? S—!)
  • Higher authorities taking advantage of student’s rights If out of district programs could be an institution of its own (and unlike Laconia State School to be fair) well then why aren’t we calling this a spade a spade? The program was in actuality restrictive. And despite Release 1.0 of Self Advocacy, I tried to challenge my legally dumb teacher about the “least restrictive environment” but was always turned down. But my Asperger’s friend (no longer anymore) would try to exploit loopholes but he was successful. I, for whatever reason, blaintely desperate or what was a copycat I suppose. (She actually in fact wimped her way into getting the Masters by crying her way in – isn’t that “cheating the system”?) The other most disturbing practice was in around 2007, when I was about 20 when I was trying to get out of school to meet the demands of my “peers” (graduating high school before turning 21) but in fact I did graduate on my 21st birthday. After being pushed to wait. That previous summer, the hack director had refused to take 3 seperate telephone calls from SAU 12 because I failed to comply with the director’s requirements to fill out “pros and cons” of whether to graduate or to stay in school. Basically I was held hostage, and this hostility was in fact illegal because apparently under IDEA as my own guardian I legally had the right to call my own IEP meeting (and under common sense, people should respond in a timely manner.) It wasn’t till later I found out the SAU called multiple times without getting a response back. I remained silent after since Mary Ellen Dixon went bolting just before my 21st birthday for a “family emergency.” She’d retire out of the system in the form of “payback’s a bitch”.The reason why I say this is that I have other stories of why I believe she was forced out suddenly, but it would be best to not go public with additional narratives; since my own account itself has a lot of shock value.

Institutional oppression, I think the Massachusetts DOE would fit into this narrative perfectly. Oh wait it doesn’t? I must be an ultra-right wing-extremist who prays and mastrubates to the Tea Party’s propaganda…

Gotta love how sick puppies can’t survive under the “Group think” (aka Thought Police) mantra.

Where I Grew Up

map  Unlike other millennials or peers of my age, I basically lived in a single neighborhood for my entire life till I was 23.  I was born in Derry, raised in Londonderry (the small dot to the right). The first dwelling was my grandparent’s house. I moved for the first time when I was about 5, then back for a few months after I turned 6, the moved again to another part of town (in the same elementary school region) for another 3 years till my grandmother got divorced and we moved back. From 1996 to near the end of 2010, I lived in the same dwelling. By that point of most typical 23 year olds, they probably have moved about a dozen times if you count their college dorm as a form of living setup.

In fact, most of the rural lifestyle has been part of a giant wrecking ball. The most lower class citizens were driven out over the last couple of decades. Some of my classmates (of the similar social strata) don’t even live in town, at least more than 5 years ago based on Facebook conversations.

A lot of people don’t drive Fords or Toyotas in the 03053 zip code anymore. Many drive Caddies, Lexuses, or even Mercedes, or used BMWs to “fit in” to the higher upper class. According multiple sources, the median income can range from over $100,000 to $120,000 pre tax. Regardless that’s plenty of cash compared to an undereducated family I grew up. (I’m not complaining,  just pointing out the realities.)

The only critical or core “services” they provided was my third mother, psychologist since 3, Teresa Bolick, from Westford, Mass. Her personal snobbish attitudes were mirrored to Londonderry because both towns are no different, no less. If you wonder why I write negative narratives, this specific experiences would cause a scar for life (until it heals once she looses her certification once and for all!)

About a decade ago, I would start to see how I should not respect people in other social strata. The perceived world-class town would have skeletons in their closets. Many of the popular kids that were of the thousands that graduated over a decade were many (believe it or not) and many of these popular people would do some very inappropriate things, underage drinking, perhaps some drug use, and even better, sex. (As sick as it is, my father – whom I never knew was one of these people in a different generation.)  I think I was around 18 walking on the road I once lived on and my first time seeing a used condom on the road. It was troubling. Perhaps it was some 60something’s used the condom, but since so many young folks lived, it had to be some young punk.

As explained above, the district had an apparent liberal agenda. Great! But what about the people outside the SAU property line? The town has a very conservative constituents and some very liberal. Both cancel out each other so nearly 98% of 24,000 residents (at the time in 2000, where this narrative takes place) would have low tolerance to autistics and/or developmentally disabled people. Some of the most extreme, tight to the right politicians in this fine state – live in Londonderry.

Narcissism is very common in that community, people who use other people to bolster their “social capital” (see how Bolick’s agenda can work against autistics?) I was used on Facebook by a number of ex-friends. They knew who I was, but they only wanted me to boost their friend count. Hey, there is a thing called Linked In, if you want to advance your social count without referring them as “Friends”, you know?

These kids were far from “young professionals.”

As mentioned, they possessed a “too cool” attitude for the 603 area code.

The trauma of living in Caucasian-class, Upper Crust of New Hampshire was what formed me into massive insecurities such as “I’m not good enough” or “I shouldn’t be friends with someone who has so much education” or because I didn’t have enough socialization, that I shouldn’t be around people who have better socialization. Oh wait, where are all the twenty/thirtysomethings to socialize with who aren’t married?  Right, they abandoned the town while the lower class and hopeless autistic like I was just limped over to the larger dot on the left of the map a few years ago.

I’m going to be blunt. I don’t hold a grunge against Londonderry per se, I’m against any rich Caucasian that is about my age who has no respect to anyone below their social strata. Many of these people really did major at UNH for partying and sex, and alchies and drugs. If you deny this truth, then you’re just defending and/or protecting these people because you like/love them. Of course, if I did any of this, I’d be thrown under the bus. The town circa a decade ago was racist/ableist, is it today? I’ll be fair and not comment because I don’t know. As with any community of rich Caucasian people, there are good people, but they are hard to come by.

What concerns me is how these people have no realistic idea of the idea of being completely disabled and be so isolated only because someone made a few critical mistakes as such individual in their younger years. Like I said before I had dozens of “Facebook friends” and I saw through it early on. Since I mentioned Facebook, using that caused depression of the Fear of Missing Out or FOMO.

Is that Facebook’s problem? No, the browser window is just another window to “the real world” that existed at Facebook’s original location in Middlesex County, girls, beer, sex and hacking (in the case of Londonderry, “hacking” can be replaced with “the hackerama” of people making large sums of cash for showing up and doing nothing in the private sector!)

Honestly, this could be a delusional view. Unlike other autistics, I’ve avoided self-diagnosis and tried to reach out to a number of professionals for mental health/ASD and few work with adults with autism. Until I have formal conformation of my insecurities, its probably heresy. The struggles of such high class/zero respect town was how my mind, physical, emotional health would be tarnished and for whatever reason I can’t elaborate, I’m still walking and trying.

(Un)Ethical Standards 101

One of my living nightmares is seeing how people lower on the social totem pole will be getting treated like crap and people on the higher levels of the social totem pole will have 99% zero-accountability.

And the reason why I am saying this is my day program (that I am still in a few hours on a single day x/week) has been changing. I’ve been told my the manager that the program basically has to changed to meet “the State’s” rules for these programs. The abstract is basically smaller groups = more one-on-one = allegedly more accountability to staff.

The Back Story to the Marriage to the Girl in Ballerina Flats

In 2013, I came to my senses that I’d also be a hopeless romantic. Love and autism doesn’t have to be a complicated relationship status, and sadly the recurring characters such as incompetent psychologists acting as state leaders, inadequate training (fear mongering), and possibly “following the money trail” say IDEA for an example, had a lot to do during my teenage years.

Me Vs. The Town Of Merrimack, NH – Conclusion

Several things occurred near the end of summer of 2015 in this holy war against an alleged intolerant Police Department in Merrimack, NH.

In August, the PD hosted a “Coffee with a Cop” program at the local Starbucks (this has occurred at other locations in the past, this time it was here. I met with a detective, whom I don’t remember the name. He explained the police reporting system, that a criminal report is filed on one computer, and incidents as mentioned in the complaints were filed on another system tied to the police’s IP network. Unless someone can do a backdoor hack, then could someone see my record. Typically most reports, according to this detective are filed with full name + date of birth (similar to full name + medical record numbers in healthcare.) He explained smiliary to what the DRCNH told me that higher ranking officers need to log things for accountability, but unlike Mr. Zigra, he told me “not to minimize your concerns, but please be assured” that such report wouldn’t be used in background checks, etc.

Chief Doyle was at Starbucks, and most of them left around 11:00 (if memory serves me.) I stayed low, I didn’t approach him, but he didn’t approach me (perhaps a court order demanded him of a gag order with me?)  What was kinda disturbing, about a minute or two after they left, I decided to go to the nearby mall, before you get there as a pedestrian, you need to get to some crosswalks.

Well, just as I hit my foot to the crosswalk, I saw that same Ford Five Hundred gold sedan with someone that looked like Chief Doyle.  I tried to make eye contact with him to cross, but he just kept on creeping past the crosswalk and didn’t even see me. The Chief of Police was distracted and didn’t pay attention. If I was a reckless walker, he probably would’ve ran me over.

Code of Ethics: Ethics Schethics

One organization I am very skeptical of is the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals, or should I say the National Alliance for the Need of More Cold Hearted People. In July, a couple of New Yorkers (from the upstate – you couldn’t tell with their downstate snootiness) came to the second largest city in New Hampshire to talk about “Code of Ethics for Direct Support Professionals” or DSPs (or also or previously known as “caretakers”, “staff”, etc. DSPs are not used in the special ed system, but similar skills could be applied to that logic.

From what I’ve gathered was these people also lived in a University bubble at the University of Minnesota, which has a large research unit for developmental disabilities (I might be mistaken – so many different special interest groups, I’ve lost track.)

What disturbs me is three different things: One is this perverted theory a client can do whatever they want, whenever they want and however they want and the DSPs have to be very gentle in redirection. Second is to have a distant relationship with the client. So the “second family” away from home logic will disappear when Federal laws become law in 2019. Third, is another sick-puppy logic to think a bottom to top leadership will work. Um, have these men ever worked in a corporate environment? I’ve never seen a clerical worker ever be seen as a leader. Bottom to top leadership (meaning the DSP would be held to the highest standard) is so backwards, that it only enables white collared crime such as corruption and dishonest behavior. To be fair, respecting people at the bottom at the workplace level is not a bad idea, however this gets diluted since DSPs work with clients directly. Sadly a lot of special needs organizations are often degrading DSPs and clients at the management level because honestly – they don’t give a damn!

There are key components like respect and dignity, which some DSPs, I’ve worked with this year in my day program treat clients like they are dogs. On that part, that should be common sense.  Secondly privacy and confidentiality is very important. Basically I was taught, if they talked about me without me knowing, then that would cross a boundary believe it or not, even if say a manager was talking to my DSP about concerns. I brought this up during the course out loud, so the entire room found out about a situation I had a few years ago.

I find that interesting, given the Town of Merrimack had basically made an opinion of my run in with the town Police Chief without letting me know the full story, and blamed me for not agreeing with their opinion. (The final chapter of that story is still in draft)

On the other hand, over use of privacy and confidentiality can cause a culture of secrecy. Since most special needs organizations are funded by tax dollars, any question that isn’t directly related to named individuals has been a confidential type of response. By acting like jerk and say “that’s confidential” when responding about a generic question of how a school program works, what types of disabilities, you in return are actually covering up the bad behaviors. The Londonderry School District and Greater Lawrence Educational Collaborative at the time a decade ago were also very notorious for overprotecting reasonably appropriate “right to know” questions in the name of secrecy, using “confidentiality” rules and laws for political purposes

However, there’s a catch to all of this. I do not like what I perceive is a “hands-off” approach. DSPs now must become Switzerland, not show much emotions, must resepect the client the full day or whatever schedule, and do whatever they want. Is that how the real world works? Should the client be selfish 70% and be selfless 30% of the time? Sorry that’s just common sense, which now needs to be regulated.

I know a thing or two about ethics. At GLEC, it was known by the circles for being notoriously ethically challenged – in the c-suite at their central offices. The corner offices around their Broadway offices was designed so perfectly that the handful of administrators could be so distant from the students, since all the school programs were in adjacent buildings. It was all about social capital for the thousandaires running the show. Did any of the managers ever get fired in a timely manner? Never! Did anyone get charged by the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office? Nadda! Were they so arrogant to think all the GLEC children would be naive to see the corruption taking place? Hell Yeah!

About 8 years ago, the Town of Londonderry (that I once grew up) attempted to pass a Code of Ethics ordinance for all public sector agencies of that community. (To remind readers, New Hampshire requires any non cities to have equal power on the municipal level. In Londonderry, there are 3 separate government entities, the Library – accounted separately, but funded and supported by the town, and the Londonderry School District – SAU 12, taxed by the Town side – as a collections agency; which then turn funds them through a check. But all three are legally firewalled unlike a city.) A while back the Library was cited for being ethically challenged, so the Town attempted to put Code of Ethics that was basically shot down by various former and current board members at that time.

In memory, the Code of Ethics for that town to me was attempting to make town employees more like robots and more distant to their citizens they served. In Merrimack, the Town Council is so robotic (because they have a Code of Ethics) that they are out of touch of what citizens go through. In fact in theory, if you have a Code of Ethics, lack of emotions or compassion or sensitivity can be very likely. (On top of looking like a pompous – rear end.)

In New Hampshire our culture isn’t just being First in The Nation for Presidential Primaries; it’s also the value of community, where we value DSPs, but DSPs aren’t just the authoritative figures to a certain degree, they are people too. Public sector workers that also want to serve the people but also contribute to the community as well. You can’t do the latter and only the former when you legislate Code of Ethics. Code of Ethics destroys the sense of “community”, the fact it enhances quality of services is far from the fact. In fact Code of Ethics have only enhanced public sector corruption (human service agencies, school districts, etc.) and sadly such high standards have made white collared jobs more snooty, and more out of touch of the common folk.

If these idiots are right, if there really is a shortage for DSPs, and if we do consider these people white-collared, should street crime go down? So should towns like Merrimack and others cut the police force because if there is going to be more professionals, professionals do not commit street crime – right? So is this federal laws coming in 2019 mean the FBI and the Marshals will need to have larger budget, since the FBI is the agency of record to investigate white collared crimes? It’s pretty amusing to continue to read a newspaper and see all the street crimes that take place in Manchester or Nashua but never the white collared crimes that take place in towns or cities that have Codes of Ethics and yet no one has the guts in the media to call them out.

These New Yorkers (who are actually from upstate but come off as snooty types you’d expect near The City) are in my opinion preaching on really perverted agendas that in theory will work.

In any life experience in a career, management typically destroys quality of life, not a rank and file, and not a DSP. Until these hucksters start to train management specifically and try to humanize these robots, New Hampshire will become a hopeless state for anyone with a developmental disability. New Hampshire is probably the state with the most robots in the area because we have regulated people to the Stone Age to the point where reasonable emotion, compassion, and passion to special needs is now politically incorrect and is “unprofessional”. This type of logic has been an SOP at SAU 12 and at GLEC in previous years, and this SOP created the basic layer of my brain and heart to be “hopeless”

My goal in life is to stop corruption, and break the dishonest, unethical nature of management. “Code of Ethics for DSPs” is a slap in the face to the people who directly work on the field with people like me, and its just enabling bad behaviors to the tried and true of “at the top”.

Sadly unlike DSPs, there will never be a shortage for nitwits, but always be a shortage for true help.
